Political Deliberation US
Terms and conditions
Effective 20 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-20
These terms govern participation at politicaldeliberation.com (d’Hive US), operated by X-Up Limited, a project operator within HubTropolis. Contact mdmxup@gmail.com. Please also read our Privacy notice.
A public beta for deliberation
d’Hive is an experimental forum for discussing issues, comparing proposals and examining evidence and forecasts. It is not an official government service, election authority or representative opinion poll. Participation and results do not establish a democratic mandate or predict an election outcome. Features may change, become unavailable or contain errors during beta testing.
You must be at least 18 to register or participate. Keep your sign-in details secure, provide a working email address and do not impersonate another person or falsely claim to represent an organisation. A public pseudonym is welcome.
Your posts are your responsibility
Comments and other user submissions express their contributors’ own views. They are not statements by, or endorsements from, X-Up Limited, d’Hive, HubTropolis or their staff. Each contributor is responsible for the material they submit, including its accuracy, lawfulness, permissions and any claims about other people. Hosting, displaying, scoring or moderating a submission does not mean we agree with it.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or suitability of user content, and we do not promise to review every submission before publication. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for user submissions or losses arising from reliance on them. This does not exclude duties or liability that the law places on us, or responsibility for our own conduct.
AI-generated reconstructions and summaries are identified separately. They are interpretations of linked sources, not authorised submissions, quotations or endorsements by the people named. Check original sources and dates; report errors rather than assuming an attribution is current or exact.
Participation rules
- Challenge arguments, not people. Do not threaten, harass, incite violence, promote unlawful discrimination or publish unlawful material.
- Do not post defamatory allegations, knowingly false factual claims, somebody else’s private information, or material that violates copyright, confidentiality or other rights.
- Distinguish opinion from fact and link evidence where possible. Do not misrepresent a source, political affiliation, identity or AI-generated material.
- Do not spam, manipulate votes through multiple accounts or automation, evade moderation, interfere with security or misuse other members’ information.
- Do not post passwords, identity documents, private medical details or other sensitive personal information about yourself or others.
Permission to display contributions
You retain any intellectual-property rights you own in your submissions. You give X-Up Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, format, display and distribute them as needed to operate d’Hive, including public pages, our public API, backups and the deliberation record. Our service providers may process them for those purposes. This is not a transfer of ownership or a licence to sell your identity or political profile.
Submit only material you have the right to share. Public contributions may be copied or indexed by others. If you close your account, contributions may remain to preserve the discussion, subject to applicable privacy and removal rights. Our permission does not override those rights; removal and anonymisation requests are considered under the Privacy notice.
Reporting, moderation and appeals
Use the report control on a contribution, or email mdmxup@gmail.com with its URL, the material concerned and a clear explanation. Anyone may email a concern without registering. For copyright or privacy complaints, explain your relationship to the material and how we can contact you. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information. This mailbox is not an emergency service.
We may investigate, request clarification, hide or remove content, limit participation or suspend accounts for breaches, safety concerns or legal requirements. We aim to act proportionately and may act promptly where necessary. Some moderation actions and reasons are recorded publicly; private report details are not generally published. To appeal, email the same address with the decision and your reasons. Reporting content does not guarantee removal, and leaving content visible does not endorse it.
Information, links and availability
Discussion, forecasts and metrics are provided for public deliberation, not as personalised legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Verify important information independently. External websites operate under their own terms; linking to them does not endorse them or guarantee their safety or accuracy.
We take reasonable care in running the service but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free software or permanent retention of every contribution. You may stop using the service and request account closure at any time.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service or third-party content. We do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer, privacy or other statutory rights.
These terms do not create blanket immunity for unlawful content or our own actions. Any legal protections for hosting third-party content apply only to the extent available under the law and the circumstances.
Changes and contact
We will identify material changes with a new version and bring participation changes to users’ attention. We may ask you to agree again before further participation. Changes do not retrospectively waive existing rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply so far as the law permits.
